As the final card of the Major Arcana, The World signifies the end of a cycle. A chapter has come to a close. That journey you started so long ago is reaching its natural conclusion and you should feel a sense of fulfilment and completion. This is a card of achievement through experience rather than luck. You will feel like all the elements have fallen into place. All the struggle, all the lessons, all the personal development...it all culminates into something positive now. The World also represents travel, internationalism and feeling at home anywhere in the world. It signifies a time where everything just falls into place.

Reversed

When reversed, The World indicates that something is left incomplete. A goal is just out of your reach or a cycle that should be finished keeps continuing. You may feel like you are missing the last piece of the puzzle even though all appears well externally. This reversal can also be an indication that you have taken a shortcut too early. Sometimes in our lives we try to avoid the difficult lessons or skip the steps we think are unnecessary, but often these things have a way of coming back to us later on. Here you are close to completing your journey but not quite. It can be frustrating, like running a marathon and stopping at mile 25.
